The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, the Hickory Community Theatre’s annual youth Christmas show, brings “the Horrible Herdmans” to take over the Jeffers Theatre stage for a performance this weekend – Saturday, December 12th at 2:30pm.

The Herdman’s are a pack of unruly children who are unaware of the story of Christmas and the birth of Jesus. They’re at Sunday school for the snacks. When the oldest kids, Imogene and Ralph, learn the class is putting on a Christmas pageant they quickly take over. It’s both hilarious and heartwarming as both the Herdmans, along with the rest of the class and the church congregation, learn the true meaning of Christmas.

The play is presented for two Saturday matinee performances, December 12th and 19th at 2:30pm. Tickets are just $10 each for all ages.

Tickets are available through Theatre box office, which is open Wednesday-Saturday from 12-5pm, in person or by phone at 828-328-2283. Online ticketing is also available 24 hours a day at
