A sweeping musical adventure of one woman's quest to discover her identity and her destiny, ANASTASIA plays in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT from December 1st through December 16th.
Taking another regal turn on the HCT stage in this production, as lady-in-waiting Lily, is the incomparable Allison Andrews.
Andrews, a drama teacher at Bandy's High School, holds a BA in Theatre Education from Catawba College, and is known throughout the are for her work in performance, production and education.
Andrews made her Hickory Community Theatre debut as the Fairy Godmother in 2014's SHREK. She has also appeared in JUNK (for which she won a 2017 Outstanding Actress Award from the Southeastern Theatre Conference), RAGTIME (for which she won a 2018 Kay Award for Outstanding Lead Actress), LEGALLY BLONDE, THE PIRATE QUEEN, and most recently THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. She has also directed DISNEY'S THE LION KING JR., THE JUNGLE FUN ROOM, and BUGSY MALONE for HCT.
Andrews has also been active at The Green Room Community Theatre, where she has been involved in such productions as SWEENEY TODD, CRIMES OF THE HEART, MARY POPPINS, THE LITTLE MERMAID, and where she recently directed MAMMA MIA.
Andrews is excited to be back on the stage at HCT, and is grateful to all of the support and joy given to her by her castmates, students and friends.
Performances of ANASTASIA are Friday and Saturday, December 15th & 16th at 7:30PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.
