A Journey Together: Joey Moray is Gleb in ANASTASIA

Filled with fairy tale romance and a fearless young woman's quest for truth, the epic Broadway musical ANASTASIA plays in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT from December 1st through December 16th.

Returning to the HCT stage as the politically driven but personally conflicted Gleb, is Kay Award winner Joey Moray.

Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Moray now resides in Troutman, NC, where he is a Lead Business Analyst for iPipeline. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts-Acting degree from the Shenandoah Conservatory, and made an Outstanding Newcomer Kay Award-winning debut at Hickory Community Theatre as Huey in MEMPHIS. Other area credits include LEGALLY BLONDE and LEND ME A TENOR for Lee Street Theatre, and THE SOUND OF MUSIC for the Piedmont Players.

"I like the driving conflict between living up to his father's legacy and doing what is right," Moray says about his character. And he is glad to be back on the stage at HCT. "The quality of the productions are phenomenal.”

Performances of ANASTASIA are Friday and Saturday, December 15th & 16th at 7:30PM.

Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.

Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.

ANASTASIA is rated G. All audiences admitted.

ANASTASIA is produced in association with Catawba Valley Health System. The Hickory Community Theatre’s 75th season is sponsored by Paramount Automotive, SunBelt Xpress and Green Park Dentistry. HCT is a funded affiliate of the United Arts Council of Catawba County.
