A resilient young woman sets out to discover her past with the help of two con men, in an enchanting adventure that journeys from post-Revolution Russia to Paris in the Belle Époque. The Broadway smash hit ANASTASIA wraps up its run in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT this Friday and Saturday, December 15th and 16th.
Returning to the Hickory Community Theatre stage as Dmitry, the con artist with a heart of gold, is multi-Kay Award winner Justin Wilson.
Wilson, a Lincolnton native, has lived in Hickory for the past five years while studying Theatre at Lenoir-Rhyne University, and currently works as a waiter at Olde Hickory Station. He made his HCT debut as Robin in SOMETHING ROTTEN, for which he received a Kay Award for Outstanding Male Character Performer. He went on to appear as an Ensemble member in THE PIRATE QUEEN, as Gangster #2 in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, part of the Pamela Livingstone Award-winning ensemble in THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG, and as Monty Navarro in A GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER. Other area credits include LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at Little Theatre of Gastonia, and NEXT TO NORMAL at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Wilson continues to be grateful for the opportunities, challenges and inspiration he finds performing at Hickory Community Theatre.
Performances of ANASTASIA are Friday and Saturday, December 15th & 16th at 7:30PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.
Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
