A resilient young woman sets out to discover her past with the help of two con men, in an enchanting adventure that journeys from post-Revolution Russia to Paris in the Belle Époque. The Broadway smash hit ANASTASIA wraps up its run in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT this Friday and Saturday, December 15th and 16th.
She's entertained us. She's bewitched us. She's rocked out with us. Returning to the Hickory Community Theatre stage in this production, as Marfa and Ensemble member, is Kay Award winner Lucy Weaver.
Weaver's family ties to theatre go all the way back to her grandparents' support of The Hickory Little Theater, which would eventually become Hickory Community Theatre. She studied Music Therapy and Vocal Performance at UNC Asheville, and has appeared at HCT in ROCK OF AGES, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, MACBETH, THE PIRATE QUEEN—for which she received a Kay Award for Outstanding Leading Female— SOMETHING ROTTEN, EVITA and DISENCHANTED. She has also been part of the tech crew for such shows as MEMPHIS and BY THE BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL SEA.
Performances of ANASTASIA are Friday and Saturday, December 15th & 16th at 7:30PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.
Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
ANASTASIA is rated G. All audiences admitted.
ANASTASIA is produced in association with Catawba Valley Health System. The Hickory Community Theatre’s 75th season is sponsored by Paramount Automotive, SunBelt Xpress and Green Park Dentistry. HCT is a funded affiliate of the United Arts Council of Catawba County.
