A Journey Together: Meet ANASTASIA Ensemble member Mollie Johns

A sweeping musical adventure of one woman's journey to discover her identity and her destiny, the Broadway sensation ANASTASIA plays in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT from December 1st through December 16th.

Returning to the HCT stage in this rousing tale of high society, revolution and romance is Ensemble member Mollie Johns.

A student at Challenger Early College High School, Johns is involved in both Challenger Skills USA and the Debate Club, and plans to major in theatre and education in college. When not engaged in theatrical or scholastic pursuits, Johns enjoys reading, making jewelry, and collecting Funko Pop figures.

Johns made her HCT debut in THE HOBBIT, and has gone on to appear in BUGSY MALONE and MACBETH. She has also appeared in HANSEL AND GRETEL, ALICE IN WONDERLAND and CHARLOTTE'S WEB at The Green Room Community Theatre, where she is also involved in their Drama Club.

"ANASTASIA is such a beautiful, well-told story," says Johns. "And I love ballroom dancing." Johns appreciates the variety of characters she gets to play throughout ANASTASIA, as well as the welcoming environment that she has found as a performer at Hickory Community Theatre.

Performances of ANASTASIA are Fridays and Saturdays, December 1st through December 16th at 7:30 PM; Sundays, December 3rd and 10th at 2:30 PM; and, Thursday, December 14th at 7:30 PM.

Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.

Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.

ANASTASIA is rated G. All audiences admitted.

ANASTASIA is produced in association with Catawba Valley Health System. The Hickory Community Theatre’s 75th season is sponsored by Paramount Automotive, SunBelt Xpress and Green Park Dentistry. HCT is a funded affiliate of the United Arts Council of Catawba County.
