A sweeping musical adventure of one woman's quest to discover her identity and her destiny, ANASTASIA plays in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT from December 1st through December 16th.
Making her acting debut at HCT in this tale of mysterious identity and true love is Ensemble member Zezette Pflaum.
Originally hailing from Pennsylvania, Pflaum—who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Metal Science & Engineering from Cornell University—moved to Charlotte a year ago to take a job as an engineer for 3D Systematic. She enjoys art, writing, skiing and pole dancing.
Pflaum's own journey to the HCT stage began with another mystery musical; this season's production of A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER. "I thought it was well done and beautiful theatre." Pflaum has already displayed her dancing skills on the HCT stage with the recent screening of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, and is thrilled to be part of her first full theatre production.
"Anastasia is a fun character and I like the plot," says Pflaum, who is also delighted to be working with such a large cast in her first theatrical adventure.
Performances of ANASTASIA are Fridays and Saturdays, December 1st through December 16th at 7:30 PM; Sundays, December 3rd and 10th at 2:30 PM; and, Thursday, December 14th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.
Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
ANASTASIA is rated G. All audiences admitted.
ANASTASIA is produced in association with Catawba Valley Health System. The Hickory Community Theatre’s 75th season is sponsored by Paramount Automotive, SunBelt Xpress and Green Park Dentistry. HCT is a funded affiliate of the United Arts Council of Catawba County.
