A hilarious whodunit filled with theatrical mishaps and mayhem, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG runs in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT through April 1st.
Navigating the show's many pratfalls and fiascos in his return to the HCT stage is Justin Thomas as Robert/Thomas Colleymore.
Originally from Saw Mills, NC, Thomas currently resides in Lenoir and works as a Financial Aid Admin Support Specialist for Appalachian State University. He holds an Associates Degree from Caldwell Community College, but will be continuing his studies at App State this coming Fall.
Thomas has been active in the area theatre scene for many years. Previous appearances at Hickory Community Theatre include NOISES OFF, SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE, a Kay Award-winning turn as Outstanding Character Actor in THE FOREIGNER, HAMLET, AS YOU LIKE IT, and as part of the Kay Award-winning Ensemble in RAGTIME. Thomas has also been seen in INTO THE WOODS, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and FROM THIS DAY FORWARD at Old Colony Players, and in DRINKING HABITS at Foothills Performing Arts.
"I love doing farces and comedies in general," Thomas says of the appeal of THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG. "It makes people laugh, and I love being thrown around on stage."
Like leading man Robert, Thomas is 100% committed to the acting craft and the joy it brings to HCT audiences. "I've been coming to Hickory Community Theatre since I was in high school, and always wanted to be a part of the shows. I find them to be among the highest quality productions, and I strive to do my part as well."
Performances of THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG are Fridays and Saturdays, March 24th through April 1st at 7:30 PM; Sunday, March 26th at 2:30 PM; and, Thursday, March 30th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.
