Eat, think and be merry as HCT’s Trivia Night series closes out its Season 75 run this month.
Produced in partnership with Anita Doran, Andrew Straw and John Duke, HCT will host a night of live trivia competition on Thursday, June 13th at 7:30PM in the Main Cellar City Club at Duke’s Restaurant and Wine Bar. A percentage of proceeds will go to support HCT.
Guests are invited to organize teams of up to six people for the event. Paul Sapp will be Trivia Master for the contest, which will consist of three rounds of ten questions.
Round 1: “Summertime Smarts" — With summer just around the corner, we test your knowledge about the season and its many traditions and celebrations.
Round 2: “High, How Are Ya?” — In honor of HCT's production of IN THE HEIGHTS, we find “highs” in architecture, science, pop culture, and more.
Round 3: "Potpourri Round" — Our classic round testing current events knowledge and the ability to identify thematically related trivia.
And now, a trivia taster: Hollywood needed a bigger boat and a bigger box office for this 1975 film, which many consider the first summer blockbuster. (See answer below.)
Prizes, including gift bags, gift certificates, and complimentary tickets for HCT’s Season 76 performances, will be awarded to the three top-scoring teams. Food and beverage will be available for purchase during the event, with 10% of sales to be donated to HCT.
This is the final Trivia Night event for Season 75. Come join us for a night of facts, fun, and community.
