Join Us (And Sing): Ethan Fite is Professor Hidgens in THE GUY WHO DIDN'T LIKE MUSICALS

Paul Matthews is an average guy who likes pizza, movies...ya know, average guy things. But when an alien lifeforce infects his hometown, Paul finds himself in a deadly battle with one thing he knows he dislikes: musical theatre.

From Starkid Productions comes the hilarious musical horror-comedy THE GUY WHO DIDN'T LIKE MUSICALS. A love letter to B-movies and the saving power of song, THE GUY WHO DIDN'T LIKE MUSICALS plays in the Jeffers Theatre, September 12th through September 14th.

Put up those Jazz Hands for Kay Award winner, and MTA nominee for Theatre Person of the Year, Ethan Fite as Professor Hidgens.

Having arrived in our area from a universe called "Texas," Fite holds an Associate's Degree in Arts & Science from Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute. When not performing on stage at HCT, he is busy as Production Associate and Social Media Manager, or just being really cool and awesome.

Fite made his Hickory Community Theatre debut as Lady Macduff/Menteith in MACBETH. Since then he has appeared in RIDE THE CYCLONE, A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, EXIT PURSUED BY A BEAR, KINKY BOOTS, and ROCK OF AGES, for which Fite received a Kay Award for Outstanding Supporting Performer in a Musical. Fite made his HCT directorial debut with ANASTASIA. Other area credits include performance in DISASTER! for Lincolnton Theatre Guild, FROM THIS DAY FORWARD and CYRANO DE BERGERAC for Old Colony Players, and CABARET with Theatre Statesville, for whom FIte also directed a recent production of FOOTLOOSE.

Fite continues to be grateful for the creative opportunities he finds at HCT, for HCT Canine Ambassador Sir Samuel, and the greater community for their support.

Performances of THE GUY WHO DIDN'T LIKE MUSICALS are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 12th through 14th at 7:30PM. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for youth and students.

THE GUY WHO DIDN'T LIKE MUSICALS is rated PG-13 for adult language and cartoonish violence.
