Making her Hickory Community Theatre debut in this right bloody romp is Emily Mady as Woman #3.
Mady, a Catawba County Schools music teacher, earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Wingate University. While at Wingate, she appeared in such productions as HANSEL AND GRETEL and THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO. Her most recent area appearance was as an Ensemble member in MAMMA MIA! at The Green Room Community Theatre.
For Mady, the draw of debuting at HCT in A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER was multifaceted: its singing style, its comedic value, and the variety of characters she gets to play on stage. Given her career as a music teacher, it's no surprise that Mady describes herself as "the actor most likely to memorize all the music, regardless of if I sing it or not."
Performances of A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER are Fridays and Saturdays, September 1st through September 16th at 7:30 PM; Sundays, September 3rd and 10th at 2:30 PM; and, Thursday, September 14th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.
