THE PIRATE QUEEN, an epic musical adventure from the creators of LES MISÉRABLES, comes to Hickory Community Theatre June 3-18.
Returning to the HCT stage for this production is Ensemble member Justin Wilson.
Hailing from Lincolnton, Wilson is currently a Senior Theatre Major at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where he most recently appeared as Dan in the musical drama NEXT TO NORMAL in 2021. That same year, Wilson made his HCT debut as an Ensemble member in the musical comedy SOMETHING ROTTEN.
"I love the quality of shows," Wilson says of Hickory Community Theatre. "As well as the bond the community has."
As for what drew Wilson to THE PIRATE QUEEN, Wilson says: "I personally love stage combat and pirates, so it's the perfect show. I'll get to fight, sing and dance."
Performances of THE PIRATE QUEEN are Fridays and Saturdays, June 3rd through June18th at 7:30 PM; Sunday, June 12th at 2:30 PM; and, Thursday, June 16th at 7:30 PM. Opening Night, June 3, features reduced-price tickets: $12 for adults, $10 for youth and students. Tickets for all other performances are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.

Due to the continued risk of COVID-19 in Catawba County, and in accordance with the latest guidance from the CDC, the Hickory Community Theatre encourages patrons to wear a mask or other face covering while inside the building.
THE PIRATE QUEEN is rated PG for on-stage combat, and moments of adult language and sexual insinuation.
