An all-consuming pursuit of power leads to betrayal, murder and madness in William Shakespeare's classic tragedy MACBETH, on stage at Hickory Community Theatre from October 21st through 29th.
Making their Hickory Community Theatre debut in this production is Corrin Stinson as Fleance and Caithness.
Originally hailing from the temperate climes of Menifee, California, Stinson has been a Granite Falls resident for the past seven years. When they are not slinging caffeine at Starbuck's, Stinson is studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design—the better to compliment their Associate's Degree in Digital Media.
Stinson's previous acting roles include Cinderella in CINDERELLA AND THE SUBSTITUTE FAIRY GRANDMOTHER (Santa Rosa Performing Arts Club), Florinda in INTO THE WOODS (Temecula Youth Musical Theater), Narrator in CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (Creative Arts Show Time), and Candy in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST (Foothills Community Theatre).
For Stinson, performing in MACBETH is a moment of personal wish fulfillment. "It's my favorite Shakespeare role," they say. Stinson is particularly delighted to be involved in stage combat during the show, and is grateful for HCT's welcoming atmosphere and professional approach.
Performances of MACBETH are Fridays and Saturdays, October 21st through 29th at 7:30 PM; Sunday, October 23rd at 2:30 PM; and, Thursday, October 27th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.
Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
