A scrumdiddlyumptious new musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic novel, featuring original music and songs from the 1971 film, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY finishes its HCT run this weekend, December 12th—14th.
Making his Hickory Theatre Debut in this production is Ensemble member Austin Holmes.
A Hickory resident since 1997, Holmes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in the Political Science from Western Carolina University. He enjoys reading and—apropos for the season—enjoys collecting Nutcrackers.
A Best Actor Honorable mention in the Greensboro 48-Hour Film Festival, Holmes was looking for more theatrical opportunities to perform. Having impressed his way into the cast of this production, Holmes appreciates the opportunity to meet more members of the creative community, and work alongside them in CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.
Performances of CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 12th-14th at 7:30PM. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for youth and students.
Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY is rated PG. Some material may not be suitable for children. Parental guidance is suggested.
CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY is produced in association with Catawba Valley Health System.
