When eccentric candy creator Willy Wonka opens his factory to five lucky children, the result is an unbelievable journey of sight, sound and surprise. A dazzling new musical adaptation of the Roald Dahl novel, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY finishes its HCT run this weekend, December 12th—14th.
Making his Hickory Community Theatre debut in this production is Ensemble member Jason Bullard.
A retiree currently residing in Denver, Bullard holds a degree in Finance & Economics from the University or North Carolina-Charlotte, and enjoys long-drive golf and recreational shooting.
Having only been a HCT audience member before this production, Bullard is thrilled to now find himself on the stage. "I loved this story as a kid. It's my first role ever, and I'm in a really cool play."
Performances of CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 12th-14th at 7:30PM. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for youth and students.
Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
