Filled with big hair, bigger egos and plenty of power ballads, the Broadway sensation ROCK OF AGES plays in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT through February 4th.
Returning to the Hickory Community Theater stage to "Save Our Strip!" is Bethany Spears as rock 'n' roll activist Regina.
Spears previously appeared at HCT as Church Lady Doris in THE COLOR PURPLE, for which she won an Outstanding Featured Female Kay Award. Spears has also appeared at The Green Room Community Theatre as Amelia McQueen in AIN'T MISBEHAVIN', and at Creative Arts Show Time as The Wicked Witch in THE WIZARD OF OZ. Spears has been a rock star behind the scenes at HCT, too, as stage manager for TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS and PUFFS, as well as being a crew member for numerous other productions.
All performances of ROCK OF AGES this weekend are sold out.
Visit hickorytheatre.org, or call 828-328-2283, for more information. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
ROCK OF AGES is rated R for strong language and adult situations.
ROCK OF AGES is produced in association with Lowes Foods, Alex Lee and MDI. The Hickory Community Theatre’s 74th season is sponsored by Paramount Automotive, SunBelt Xpress and Frye Regional Medical Center. HCT is a funded affiliate of the United Arts Council of Catawba County.
